Happy Chanumas!

Last  weekend Zach and I celebrated both Christmas and the 6th night of Chanukkah, on Zach's precious one night off from work which was worthy of celebration in itself! Amidst the incessant tedium of our jobs, we were both very thankful to have an opportunity to share the holidays together.

So happy to have my hubby home... :-)

I shared some of our celebration in my previous post, as we had our "Christmas Eve" on Christmas morning when Zach arrived home from work... Then, while Zach napped during the day, I cooked! Naturally. ;-) When Zach awakened... The festivities began! :-)

 

 

My camera was confused by all the blue in this picture, and even with my best photo editing efforts the image still looks rather Blue Man Group esque... but I couldn't resist sharing Zach's enthusiastic reaction! :-)

Zach made my day with lots of books... :-)

The biggest surprise of the holidays was this AMAZING Le Creuset skillet!! We're so excited to use it! :-)

Zach was also very enthused about his collection of craft beer glasses... A must for any beer snob. :-)

I also want to give a call out of gratitude to our friend Alyssa, who sent us a holiday package all the way from Georgia and painted this gorgeous fleur de lis ornament for us with our names and the date of our wedding! So moving and special!

 I'm eager to share recipes... I shall pause here, however, lest this post begin to resemble the blog version of War and Peace. Culinary updates soon to follow... With holiday joy and thankfulness to last the year through.
