Happy New Year!


Welcome to 2013!   Now that the new year has arrived, I know I am supposed to post uber-light, cleansing recipes since the decadence of the holidays has passed. However, I am much more a fan of exercising moderation year round rather than alternating between guilt and excess over the holiday season and then switching to an abnormally strict diet,which isn't   likely to last until spring anyway, come January 1. It's no wonder people are so depressed in February, shivering with cold and trying to subsist off of only salads when salad greens aren't even in season. This year, come join us in eating locally and seasonally all year round, and eating until we are satisfied, no more and no less. Let us avoid feeling either deprived or overly full. Lets feel nourished, in accord with our bodies and the seasons, even if it does mean giving ourselves permission to eat potatoes in the first week of January.
